New Home Kitchen

This Chappaqua kitchen is situated to the right of the family room. It is open on the right side to a large breakfast/sitting room through French doors to the right of the stove. Access to a raised stone terrace and outdoor cooking is through the breakfast room.
The perimeter cabinets are the working side of the kitchen, and have honed black granite countertops.
The island divides the kitchen working space and the more public space on the side with the stools. There is easy access to the refrigerator for the cook and the children. The island cabinets were hand-scraped and painted black, and the top is 2” thick Calcutta marble.
The bead board ceiling provides a less-formal feel to an otherwise upscale kitchen.
