This customer wanted to change the entire feel of their 1st floor. The front living room was used very little, and the kitchen and dining rooms were small. The decision was made to remove the center bearing wall and the wall between the kitchen and dining room. This allowed for a much larger kitchen including a large island. The front living room became a more formal dining area that included the stone fireplace. Unfinished oak flooring was installed in the original kitchen area, weaving it into the existing flooring. The entire floor was then sanded and finished. Maple cabinetry was installed, topped off with granite counter tops. A window seat was then added, making a great space for homework or just reading a book.
