Kitchen (24)

The biggest challenge for this kitchen remodel was to make room for an island with seating. The solution was two-fold; (1) recess the refrigerator into the center wall of the house, (2) build an island with 12" deep cabinets + 12" of seating overhang. The soffits were removed in favor of taller cabinets with a built-up crown molding. The existing hardwood floor was repaired before being sanded and refinished to match the rest of the house.
Hagerstown Redline cabinetry were used, utilizing Franklin flat panel doors in maple wood. The main cabinets are done in an Alabaster paint, with the island receiving Cappuccino stain. A custom pantry was designed to allow the installation of a built-in microwave, with pots and pans storage below.
Delicatus White granite countertops were installed. along with New York Taupe 3"x 12" ceramic tile back splash. Stainless steel appliances were used, including a professional grade range and chimney hood. Finishing touches include the recessed niche over the range, and pendant light over the sink. The result is a beautiful free flowing kitchen with seating for 3 at the island.
