Kitchen (33)
This homeowner wanted to take their kitchen to the next level. While the overall layout was very effective, the goal was to change out the builder grade white cabinets and solid surface countertops with something much more elegant. The one main request: re-use the existing tile floor.
The layout was enhanced slightly, adding a two-piece hutch unit next to the fridge, creating a larger and more functional island, and making a more attractive "butler pantry" area, complete with a wine fridge. Bertch cabinetry was used throughout. The main cabinets are St. Thomas (raised panel) birch with Polar paint and a soft black glaze. The island and butler pantry cabinets are Seville (flat panel) cherry with Brindle stain. All of the countertops are Black Ash granite.
Other details include a Kohler Whitehaven cast iron farm sink, raised range hood and sink valance areas, paneled ends on all of the cabinets, and stainless steel appliances.
