This was the second major renovation for this large, rural estate. Originally a bachelor’s house, his growing family needed more space. The project focused on the addition and renovation of the existing home to create a new entrance foyer, stairs, and fifth bedroom. Other renovations included connecting the separated second floors, adding a laundry room to the second floor and relocating and enlarging the kitchen.

One of the main purposes for the renovation was to correct the lack of a front entrance identity. The existing site allows the driveway to surround the house leading to barns and an outbuilding. The main foyer and entrance are located adjacent to a new stair tower, providing a clear understanding of the house and its entrance.
