Despite it being brightly lit, the partitioned playroom in this large NDG basement was uninviting to the kids until we removed the wall, creating a bigger, open and brighter play area that beckoned them from the staircase. We raised the floors on the opened space to the height of the room and matched the existing oak hardwood. It didn’t take mom long to create this multi-activity playroom for her pre-schoolers.
