Water infiltration behind the ceramic tile required a full renovation on this shower stall and the carpet on the floor added to the moisture in this space.

We stripped the shower down to bare studs for a fresh start. The insulation was upgraded. A 6ml vapor barrier was installed to stop air and moisture going to the drywall from the exterior. Waterproofing kerdi membrane was installed to keep water from penetrating the ceramic tile through the interior.

We installed the travertine and porcelain mosaic tiles in pattern created by our client which was extended to the floor, after removal of the carpet. This makeover resulted in a dry, water-proof shower and gave the bathroom a more updated look.
