With their two-storey home in Pointe Claire quickly outgrowing their needs and space requirements, our clients opted to add more space rather than move from a great location close to amenities and schools.
Prior to their home addition, two siblings shared a bedroom and the third on her own in a tiny room. The family shared one bathroom.
We added just under 400 sq.ft, of extra space above the garage which provided each child with their own bedroom and a new bathroom that they share, a dream come true for three adorable primary schoolers. The abandoned tiny bedroom was the perfect size for a second floor laundry room so now life is so much easier for this family of five! The staircase was rebuilt with beautiful oak steps and railings and new hardwood was installed throughout the existing upstairs spaces including mom and dad’s bedroom. A dedicated powder room replaced the previous laundry room/powder room downstairs.
