Hancock Haven

Keeping within the style period of their Hyde Park home, we gutted this kitchen for our lovely clients. This included removing all the appliances, countertops and cabinetry.

After gutting the entire kitchen, the shiplap underneath was revealed! Since it was in such good shape, designer Jaime Naugle incorporated into the overall design.

Starting from the bottom, the existing flooring was demoed out and replaced with light hardwood with a polished finish. New shaker style cabinetry was next in line for installation. They were painted a white shade to match the white shiplap above. A Custom cut level 1 quartz countertop with superficial grey veining was installed on top of the cabinetry. The greying of the countertops help break from an all-white kitchen.

All new appliances that were installed, along with the cabinetry hardware were a dazzling silver finish. Above the slide-in range, this kitchen features a fan-inspired backsplash that seamlessly transitions into the niche behind the sink. It still adds extra dimension while offering the perfect spot for storing oils and spices, while still making it the focal point of the kitchen, per Jaime’s design.

The overall renovation and use help incorporate more light into the kitchen and give it an ambient feeling for the homeowners to enjoy!
