This outdated master bathroom space had two separate vanities that took up square footage, a blocky tub, and an enclosed shower. Although there weren’t many items in the bathroom, it still felt very enclosed and claustrophobic.

The client has an amazing, outgoing, and dynamic personality and wanted her bathroom to reflect her lifestyle. Amanda Beltran, the designer, had a goal to select a tile that matched her eccentric personality, a freestanding tub to relax in, and a curbless shower to finish the transitional aesthetic.

The demolition process of this bathroom began with gutting out the entire bathroom and closet.

After removing one vanity, we made the left side vanity a double per Amanda Beltran design. We then trenched for a curbless shower so the tile could flow and reconfigured the plumbing for a freestanding tub. A freestanding bathtub can be placed virtually anywhere in a bathroom to create a bigger atmosphere.

We installed custom color cement tile with major personality, relocated the showerhead and added a handheld for additional function, and style.

Behind the freestanding tub, Amanda Beltran designed the tile to go up to 36 inches. The newly installed shaker style inset cabinetry with some traditional beading received a beautiful quartz countertop with an 8-inch backsplash to help accentuate the hanging mirrors.

Electrically, we added 6 overhead cans and two vanity lights and a hardwired mirror for better facial lighting.

For the shower area, a frameless shower glass was installed and tiling on the shower ceiling. A niche was built-in with a shelf in it for soaps at the bottom and bottles at the top.
