In the master bath, a floating vanity with a textured bottom was added, floating vanities are a great addition to any bathroom. Before installing the floating vanity, the existing wall was painted a deep blue shade. Three-cylinder glass fixtures were added in between the new mirrors above the vanity. The client also wanted to expand the shower, which then left less room for the tub. Instead of not having a bathtub at all, the designer, Maureen Stevens, and the client got creative and found this beautiful Japanese soaking tub, which added a very unique touch. Japanese soaking tubs have built-in seats and are much deeper than a regular tub—about 27 inches deep, making it a true deep soaking tub.

Because the new soaking tub took up less space than the original, we were able to expand the shower area by installing white marble tiling with grey superficial veining on the wall and floor. The shower floor was built 4 inches up, to create a step up into the curbless shower

The children's bathroom, the existing vanity skeleton stayed but the countertop was updated to a marble maestroquartz. After the demo, the existing drywalls were patched and textured to a level 5 finish. Since we decided to keep the vanity, it was refreshed with a new paint job. Additionally, the designer went with a more modern bathtub and a glass sliding door. The tile installed on the floor matches the kitchen tile and the master bath tile.

Aside from the lighting on the vanity, recessed canned lights were used in the ceilings for the master and children’s bathroom.
