These terrific clients love their neighborhood but were not happy with their existing kitchen and family room function, so were considering a move. Clients had a small corner kitchen with a peninsula that did not work with their growing family. They wanted enough space for kids and friends to connect in the kitchen space successfully. The design process ended with a 14' x 20' addition! This allowed us to transform the space around the garage door as a new corner section now housing a fantastic windowed pantry as well as a windowed mudroom (the aqua painted wall section). We created an "L" island that allows for additional zones: such as baking and help zones. Rather than overdoing wall cabinetry we opted for more window to increase the light and pleasantness of the space. The clients are, of course, thrilled with the results!
