A variety of personal connections brought a Newton couple to Feinmann to renovate their Brookline shop. Several years later they came back to Feinmann with a project in mind for their home. Looking to create a new master suite, they sought to have a master bath where they could relax. Now these repeat clients can unwind in their tranquil new soaking tub instead of traveling to a relaxing destination like Fiji.

Having worked with this couple before, the Feinmann team knew exactly how to successfully collaborate with them. Feinmann solved their design dilemma by combining the existing hall bath and an under-used closet, turning them into their dream master bathroom. High on the list of priorities was a soaking tub, a walk-in shower, two sinks and storage, all in a soothing color palette. The project included building a new closet and bureau in the master bedroom. By reconfiguring the space, the homeowners got to have everything on their wish list.

By adding energy efficient windows in the master bath and bedroom, the homeowners have gained a treetop view. The revamp of the master closet and the addition of the attached, built-in dresser resolved the storage issue and also provided enough extra space for a bench to be placed under the new picture window. The clients feel as though they're sleeping in a cozy tree house.
