The new owners of this large Mediterranean style home wanted to reconfigure their second floor master bath by enlarging the shower and replacing the Jacuzzi tub with a freestanding one in a more central location. They also wanted the vanity area to include cabinets built to resemble antique furniture, to match the aesthetic of the furniture they brought from their previous home in Europe.

The original built-in circular tub was removed and replaced with a free standing tub as the centerpiece of the room. The enlarged and more open walk-in shower area is finished in natural stone, accentuated with an intricate mosaic tile detail. The new furniture-like cabinets are painted in an old world style and feature granite vessel sinks.

Other details include vanity faucet hardware adorned with Swarovski crystals and distressed antique columns.

The new master bath is luxurious and comfortable, with design elements in the master bath that match the owners’ taste as well as the style of their home.
