Cupertino Contemporary Ranch Addition/Remodel II

Our clients' old ranch house had served them well through many decades, and as long-time empty nesters came to us with with a vision of living out their golden years in a contemporary, light-filled home with high ceilings, strong indoor-outdoor flow, and ample space for visiting friends, family, and former students.

Our design remains sympathetic to the broader neighborhood context of ranch homes on this well-established street just off Cupertino's main drag, but with an open floor plan and airy, well-lit living areas, the house also gives its owners the contemporary feeling they were seeking.

Project facts:

Remodel and addition of an existing 3 BD, 2.5 BA house of 1,704.4 s.f. on a 9,805 s.f. lot. New residence to be a two story, 4 BD , 3 BA house with 1,444.9 s.f living area to remain, 1,354.0 s.f. addition of living area, 491.6 s.f. of garage area totaling 3,290.5 s.f. and one accessory structure of 364 s.f. 2 car attached garage.
