Our clients had purchased a ranch style home in a quiet Sunnyvale ranch style neighborhood, knowing they eventually wanted to undertake a whole house remodel in a contemporary style, but not one that would disrupt the existing context.
By opting for a single story renovation + expansion with simple but assertive rooflines and judiciously placed banks of aluminum double paned windows, our clients achieved their goal of a quietly distinctive modern residence. Exterior materials include bronze anodized aluminum windows, bleached cedar soffits and siding, corten steel accents, integral colored stucco, and a ledgestone-clad indoor-outdoor feature wall.
Permits and construction start expected in early 2016.
