This second story remodel was so weather-beaten by termites, we supported the new framing with a brand new continuous concrete footing. The original Spanish modesty was transformed into an open-arced second floor space. This space is defined by a central curved glue laminated spinal beam where exposed wood reminds one of the strakes of a ship's hull that hovers overhead.
