This was a fun project! With the client desiring more kitchen space, we didn't hesitate to remove the wall which divided the kitchen and formal dining room. This required structural engineering, concrete pad footing, structural beams and posts, and 2 hardy frames. We saw cut to the proposed island location as the sink was relocated to the new kitchen island. Both electrical and plumbing were ran into the trench. All new LED lighting was added along with relocating the HVAC vent register, and the hood venting. One window was removed as the new pantry was installed at that location. Custom cabinet was built per designer plans/ drawings and the installed. The island and wall cabinet is solid 3/4" maple wood with dove tailed drawers, full extension glides, and soft closing hinges at doors. The island was stained while the wall cabinetry was painted/ lacquered. I love the tile backsplash that the designer selected along with the Cambria solid surface countertops. All of the flooring was replace using glue down engineered wood flooring. Baseboards, crown molding, and doors casing were replace, and final painting was done to finish off this amazing and beautiful kitchen! Lastly, the project was schedule to take 12 weeks and finished 3 weeks early!!! Happy customers for sure!
