Peek Inside a Designer’s Eclectic Dining Room and Powder Room
In this episode of Houzz TV Live, interior designer Jules Duffy takes viewers through the eclectic-style dining room she created after converting a garage into extra living space for her home in Madison, New Jersey. The room features a brick floor laid in a herringbone pattern, colorful artwork and a dining table with a clamshell top and rose gold base. (You can even browse furniture and decor selected by Duffy for creating an eclectic dining room.)
Duffy also gives a virtual tour of her tiny powder room, where magenta-pink wallpaper with a lattice-and-leaves pattern creates what she calls an “experience” in about 20 square feet.

Wow! I was just reading an article about why New Jersey is "The Garden State" yesterday and these rooms keep that spirit alive in such a vibrant and personal way.
looking at this makes me think of the conservatory aspect in period homes. I really like the use of flowers and plants brought inside. Unfortunately, I do not have a green thumb - and must resigh myself to envy.
I always love intense powder rooms especially when they are themed so cleverly you get an experience of being elsewhere.
Where did you get the vanity base? I really like it
Just beautiful!!!! I love how sweet, talented, and gentle spirit she is.
Gorgeous powder room! Wonderful job.
This is stunning - each room feels like an artistic garden hideaway.
What is the name of the wall paper she used? I love it!
Love everything about these spaces! Colors, curves, softness, nature ---truly creations of love and life by artists! I would never want to leave!!
A lot of talent and verve went into this. Fearlessness, too. I can't decide whether to cue French or Latin music.
Jules is delightful! The dining room and powder room .. perfection. I am going to paint the frame of main floor bathroom mirror and install wall paper later this week. All because of this video! Thanks.
Could you please discuss how the ceiling space was designed?
So pretty and such great design selections, both spaces are a beautiful mix of colors and patterns, nice job!
I'd love to know more about the wallpaper in your powder room!
LOVE that powder room!
Really super cool! Both rooms seem like a ton of fun to be in.
Gorgeous! I wish I could see the rest of the house!
Love the powder room! Wondering about the floor tile - Is that marble or porcelain and where did you get it?
Please tell us the name of that wallpaper.
I love it!!
Fabulous! Where did you get the wallpaper?
