This new homeowner of a PNW notable architect’s Mid-Century house wanted to enlarge the kitchen, update the finishes and open up the space to maximize the views, while keeping the character of the house intact. By removing a wall & opening up the ceiling, we were able to achieve our goals and also enabled the homeowner to enjoy the views better.. We added classic and iconic light fixtures that are the highlight of this enlarged kitchen. Our earthy wave backsplash tile enhances the horizontal nature of Mid-Century’s while adding interest to our subtle color scheme. Dimensional stone tile on the fireplace provides a sculptural background for a comfortable, airy space.
