This house was built before 1840. The home was was sold to a firm of Lawyers who were committed to completely restoring the home to it's former glory. The home underwent an extensive addition in the late Victorian style, hence the prolific use of gingerbreading and the elaborate front porch and scrolled barge rafters. A new slate roof was installed using some of the old slate blended with new.
