the client asked us to design a main house on a large, private piece of property with an existing 1200 sq.ft. home, a lake and a year around running stream outside of sacramento california. the goal of the new project was to relate to the exiting structure on the site and to maximize privacy and the view to the site. the building had to accommodate spaces for family and friends both inside and outside, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an exercise space and a large garage with a shop space.
