(Remodel - Custom) Gold-Infused Transitional Theme

This 1920s home was exceptionally well preserved with a prior remodel but the homeowners wanted to upgrade the space to bring it up to today’s standards while keep the charm of the historical home. Unique features like the caming on the glass panels surrounding the existing fireplace were incorporated into the new design but updated with a new fireplace and black Dekton surround. By framing in a kitchen window, professional grade appliances and additional storage was added. Because the existing house had true divided light windows, the new larger window above the sink was selected to match the existing windows as was the window casing header and full window wrap. New built-ins were added in the entertainment area and crown molding was selected to blend in with that of the existing home. Classic shaker grey cabinetry and a grey and white quartz counter-tops (reminiscent of the old-world marble but without the maintenance) were added to the kitchen. Gold fixtures and hardware was selected to stay on-point with the current trends while honoring the styles of the past. The existing hardwood floor was refinished in a light English walnut color. The existing powder room was updated with a more current pattern floor tile and vanity while the existing wainscot was given a fresh coat of paint. The homeowners were incredibly impressed with how their new modern amenities seamlessly tie into the classic historical charm of their 1920s home.
