(Remodel - Custom) Serenity Now Kitchen & Bath
The existing kitchen was outdated and dark, lacking the showcase quality the homeowners desired. As the existing kitchen opens to the dining and living rooms, the same overall footprint was maintained. Of primary importance was reconfiguring the layout, refreshing the finishes and creating a focal point within the kitchen. By illuminating the raised bar portion of the island counter-top with a custom LED panel, we achieved the distinctive wow factor the homeowners desired. In addition to the custom up-lighting through the cream base of the counter-top, the pendant and under-cabinet lighting further contributes to the bright and airy feel of the new space. The rich bourbon cabinets provide a handsome contrast to the counter-tops, and the wood finish compliments the surrounding elements throughout the living and dining rooms. The awkward hood vent was eliminated and an under-cabinet hood allows for a continuous line of upper cabinetry and crown molding along the range top wall. The mismatched appliances were replaced with professional grade stainless appliances. By moving the fridge location to the opposing side of the kitchen, space was created for a convection microwave, wall oven and warming drawer. Glass cabinet doors were incorporated in the upper cabinets at the right of the sink and in the adjacent dining room where a coordinating bar area was also added. A full height tile backsplash serves as the perfect backdrop for the onyx mosaic deco tiles that run throughout the perimeter and unite at the beautiful tile focal point behind the range-top. The golden tones in the mosaics and amber glow of the pendant lighting compliments the unique color movement within the Lumix granite counter-top. The homeowners were thrilled with the transformation.
