This small inner city front courtyard patio was overcrowded with plants that were ill chosen for the diminutive space. The homeowner requested a design plan for an easy care planting scheme that would provide year round colour and interest. I retained a few key plants (Japanese Maples, Cypress, Arbutus unedo, Peonies and Rhododendrons) and re-worked them into a new design plan that will require less maintenance and when established will provide a beautiful color display at any time of the year. It will take a couple of years to fill in - but we will come back to it as it grows.
