Tour 2 Stylish, Eco-Minded Rooms in an Interior Designer’s Home
In this episode of Houzz TV Live, interior designer Jennifer Jones of Niche Interiors gives a virtual tour of the living and dining rooms in her 1930s San Francisco home. In the living room, upholstered pieces in a nontoxic, stain-resistant coating bring style while remaining durable enough for a family with a dog, a cat and a 7-year-old child. In the dining room, hand-painted wallpaper in gray and ivory sets a moody backdrop for a locally crafted custom wood dining table.

Two really gorgeously beautiful rooms!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful dining and living rooms with us Jennifer! I love your work and saved many of your designed rooms to my ideabooks over the years!
I love the art above your fireplace, where may I find them?
Thanks for Sharing your Beautiful house with us. I love the structure and your house looks sturdy
Thanks,
@Noreenc1 - Thank you! The piece on the left is a vintage find from the flea market and the one on the right was purchased from the Etsy artist 'BorianaM'.
@Adi Tatarko - Thank you so much for the kind words! I had a lot of fun with this house tour/interview. I hope you are well :)
please share the details of the table maker and non-toxic fabric protection company
Love your home. What colour paint did you use in the living room and as inserted into built ins?
Niche Interiors:
Enjoyed tour of your home.
Where could I find a living rug with comparable pattern as your off white living room rug?
Best.
Jaclyn
Would love to know what color white you used on the walls.
Quiet sophistication is mirrored in your designs and your personality. I'm impressed!
Love the wall color! What color is it! Love your home as well, thank you for sharing. :)
What a beautiful home! I love the chandelier in your dining room. Would you share where you purchased it?
Eautiful, but I’d have to throw a plastic cover over the white sofa
Also have yellow walls in a rental and I do not like it. Would love white
What a wonderful, warm and inviting home! While the formal living room was captivating, the dining room had me breathless. The bespoke table is incredibly stylish, enduring and definitely a keepsake! I love how the table's design speaks to the past, while keeping it fresh and contemporary. Incorporating gentle curves along the sides of the table adds softness in an otherwise rectangular space. The base has created such a moment, though; it's a shame it has to be surrounded by chairs! Overall, the tour of this thoughtfully-designed home was both enjoyable and inspiring. Well done! :)
Where can I buy that wallpaper?!
Love the wallpaper in the dining room. I think this would also look great in a bedroom as an accent wall. Where can one purchase
the wallpaper?
Thanks
Really appreciate the simplicity of the design.
Simply stunning! I love everything about your Living Room and adding the glass wall bar area is the perfect use of that space. Could you please share the pale gray paint color on the back of the bookcase. I was wondering if it was BM Gray Owl or Pale Oak?
Beautiful rooms! Can you please tell us which paint colors you used? TY
I'm not a minimalist, but I don't like clutter either. Many times I find that designers over do it with lamps and drapes and trim, etc. But these two rooms were just right! I enjoy the carefully selected pieces and the"room" it gives a space to limit the items you decorate with. For example, lots of people would have placed end tables and lamps on either side of the sofa. So glad you don't find the need to do that. I'm not sure if I am conveying my feelings in a sensical way, all I know is these rooms feel good to me. Thanks so much for sharing and by example, demonstrating that your space can still feel decorated and beautiful without so many items in the room.
Beautiful home, I love the color scheme and the wallpaper and table in the Dining Room! Thank you for sharing!
Can you give me some information on the blue chairs?
The dinning room is my favorite, it so unique and livable.
We used Benjamin Moore Cloud Cover at 25% lighter on the living room walls and Half Moon Crest on the back of the built-ins.
The dining room wallpaper is from Cole & Son and the living room rug is from Stark Carpet. :)
Unfortunately, the blue armchairs in the living room are no longer available.
The dining room chandelier is from Apparatus Studio
i live itttt so wonderfullll😍😍😍😍😍
Love that you showed "BEFORE", we do BEFORE/AFTER on most projects on our Houzz site, which is not often found.
It helps people get ideas regarding how much you can change a room even if you have to keep certain things, such as the sofa or rug, or if you're ready for a big change but you aren't able to remodel.
Great home! Thanks for sharing.
Love your two rooms. What beautiful colors and quite a lovely calming sense. I'm going through a fire rebuild and I love the BM Cloud Cover at 25% lighter. Did you repaint your built-ins? If so, what brighter white did you use?
Jennifer, gorgeous rooms. Really love the clean minimalist white sofa. Please share if it's vintage or whether it's actually available in the marketplace.
I love your rooms and taste! Thanks for sharing your resources. I hope to move soon and will use some of your ideas as inspiration.
Thank you all for the kind words! The built-ins are Benjamin Moore White Heron (same with the trim). The sofa is from Cisco Home -- eco-friendly upholstery. :)
Your home is beautiful
Your rooms are beautiful, and you were so kind to share the colors and sources!
Beautiful- thanks for the tour...inspiring and cheering!
Everything you described: the color palette, area rug, sofa, chairs, bar space (great idea), dining table, chandelier etc. are extremely high quality items and demonstrate your exquisite taste. The only thing I'd do differently is use very simple modern wall sconces on either side of the dining room credenza and eliminate the two lamps on it. Bravo, your rooms are absolutely beautiful. . .
Love
Thanks.
Where could I find the velvet chairs and coffee table pieces?
What is the company that provides the stain resistant water based non toxic spray?
