Any of you pros have a solution to my dilemma? I would love to install a deck to delineate the patio from the yard, but we're on a slab foundation, and that's where the problem arises. Deck would be accessed from the kitchen door, from which you step down slightly onto the patio, but the attached garage door, which is just around the 90% angle from the kitchen door, is flat on the ground level. My husband and his buddy use the patio for building projects and are back and forth in the garage constantly. I don't want them to incur any risk of accidents. But what's the point of a deck at ground level?
