Due to exploitation, Peroba is listed as an endangered species; therefore we take pride in preserving our Earth’s natural resources by using 100% reclaimed Peroba Wood.
Considering its solidity, 34% harder than Oak and slightly harder than Black Locust, we are able to combine beauty and everlasting durability in every piece of furniture we make. Each item is handmade in Brazil where we recycle this very rare wood from over 100-year-old dilapidated homes and barns.
Extremely sturdy, heavy and commonly used for construction, Peroba is one of the highest rot-resistant woods and is a natural enemy of termites. Consequently our products can be used outside and are built to be passed down from generation to generation.
When Peroba ages, it releases a fascinating unique character and develops a distinguished texture, similar to petrified stone with tantalizing beauty rarely seen in most parts of the world.
As a result of its rarity, being handmade and hand-finished with natural beeswax, no one piece is alike. Every piece is unique and one of a kind.
