With small bedrooms and kitchen, one bathroom, and no storage space, this young family was quickly out-growing their tiny mid-century style home! Our goal was to remodel all areas, expand kitchen/living space, and design a large master suite that blends seamlessly with the rest of the home.

By moving the exterior wall to the patio out two feet, we were able to create an open kitchen/dining/living space in perfect proportion for this mid-century style home. We created a recessed nook across from the kitchen by taking some space out of their existing laundry room. The L-shaped master suite addition creates a seamless transition to the existing porch area. The extension of the existing porch roof line creates a covered dining and grill area, perfect for those Texas summer nights.

Bright white walls and blue/green accents throughout create consistency without overwhelming the space. Modern fixtures, mid-century furniture pieces and colorful textiles create a bohemian paradise that you never want to leave.
