Jimson Manufactoring Co., Inc. opened in January 1985 in Haleyville, Alabama. Jimmy and Wanda Setliff, along with Teddy Dollar (Plant Manager), started this new adventure in the manufacturing of bedroom furniture. The designs used were to be compatible for a promotional line to better serve the middle to low-income families.
The Setliffs and Mr. Dollar built the same priced goods at Harden Mfg. in Bear Creek, Alabama in the years 1971—1982. The Setliffs were the founders and owners of Harden Mfg. during the years 1971—1982, later selling the business. Jimson Mfg. has expanded their line to include Juvenile bedroom furniture, Student Desks, Computer Desks, Bookcases, TV stands, Gun Cabinets, Armoires, and all size chests including 4-drawer, 5-drawer, 7-drawer, and 10-drawer. Promo chests are available in 4-drawer and 5-drawer in Factory Select finishes with a very affordable price in these economic times.
