I remember doing about different levels in Drama at school - lol!! But it’s the same idea; it really does make a view look more arresting, and larger too. There are some lovely examples here. Regarding stones and gravel - I’ve had a moan about this before, but lots of stones, especially tiny ones, and even more especially with some sort of membrane, leaves an absolute nightmare for people 20 or 30 years on. A real bermer, you might say…
