This kitchen transformation is WONDERFUL! Due to the initial bad design of this kitchen, where the peninsula jutted into the the open floor space and created a bottle neck, we removed the wall between the formal dining room & kitchen and created a much more functional and larger kitchen! The breakfast room area became the new dining room area! We moved the cased opening between the living room & kitchen/breakfast room, eliminated the cased opening to the old dining room from the front foyer, and eliminated the cramped hallway door opening from the front foyer into the living room! We removed the carpet/engineered hardwood/tile in the downstairs and installed Mannington Adura Max in the color of Heritage Timber. We also removed all the 3.25" baseboards and installed 4.25" baseboards! We installed new electrical receptacles/Lutron Maestro dimmer switches for the 4" & 6" recess lights, tape LED under-cabinet lighting, and screwless plates. We installed new water lines for the pot filler above the stove, moved the plumbing lines & drain for the new sink & dishwasher location & installed new ice maker box for the new refrigerator location. The design of the new kitchen was done by my Master Kitchen & Bath designer Carol Jamison with C & M Cabinets and Granite! The kitchen cabinets are manufactured by Kith Cabinetry and feature dovetail drawer construction, hardwood drawers, under-mount soft close drawer glides, and hidden soft close door hinges! The base cabinets are a Sherwin-Williams custom color Basil and the upper cabinets & trim are in the color of Alabaster! The base cabinets have pullout drawers, double trash pullout, two spice pullouts, and are full overlay Shaker style. The 6" crown molding is installed around the perimeter of the cabinets and new dining room area! Cambria Quartz countertop is Praa Sands and the backsplash tile is Jeffrey Court Studio Gazette etched glass in the color of aluminum. The kitchen sink is a single bowl Elkay in the color of Putty with matching drain flange & rinse basket basin. The gooseneck kitchen faucet is Kohler in Matte Black. The cabinet door hardware is from Top Knobs! The pot filler is from Kohler in matte black! Installed Samsung wall mounted range hood in stainless steel! Painted the living room, front foyer, kitchen/dining room, and den with Sherwin-Williams Super Paint for the walls and Pro-Classic for the trim/doors!
