Remodeled this outdated galley kitchen! Removed the fir down/soffit so as to increase the height of the wall cabinets. MOved the HVAC duct from the fir down in the center of the kitchen ceiling. Removed the window above the kitchen sink and installed a new taller Jeld-Wen wood casement window stained to match the new cabinets. Installed new 4" LED recess lights around the perimeter of the kitchen and breakfast room which are controlled by a Lutron Maestro dimmer switch. Removed the florescent lights in the kitchen and installed 6" recess lights controlled by a Lutron Maestro switch. Removed the existing halogen under-cabinet lighting and installed new tape LED lighting. Added a couple of receptacles with USB ports in the kitchen and installed all new receptacles, switches, and decorative plates in the kitchen and breakfast room. Installed a new ice maker water line for the refrigerator. Finished the ceilings smooth. Eliminated the desk area in the kitchen and installed a new wall oven & convection microwave in its place. Moved the new induction cooktop to the center of the base cabinets and moved the new vent-a-hood. Installed new Custom Cabinets custom built stained maple cabinets with adjustable shelves in the wall cabinets, and pullout drawers in the base cabinets. Installed tray dividers in the cabinet above the oven/microwave. The cabinet doors are Shaker style and the drawer fronts are Slab style. Door hinges are soft close and drawers have soft close hardware. Installed Modern cove crown molding around the cabinets, stained to match. The cabinet pulls are from Jeffery Alexander"s Lyon collection. Installed a pullout trash can in the base cabinet, and removable wire basket under the sink. Custom Cabinets also installed new deeper, adjustable shelves in the pantry, and built a new console table matching the new cabinets. Installed new Kohler Undertone stainless steel sink, Kohler gooseneck faucet with soap dispenser, and In-sinkerator 1HP garbage disposal. Installed new Wilsonart Gaudi Quartz countertop and travertine backsplash tile. Painted the ceilings, walls, and trim using Sherwin-Williams products! Installed new door hardware and hinges to match the new cabinet hardware finish.
