Siller Stairs Hi Bobbi, This is real glass and no actylic. It is very solid so if you don´t hit it with a hammer it won´t brake. Acrylic is not so good because it gets skratches very easy and after a while in use it becomes obscure.

I do not like the plexiglass sides because it looks a little bit over the top and like a housecleaning nightmare, but I like the overall negative space effect. Aluminum wire instead?
