Could that possibly be the yellow form of Aloe Vera, the leaves remind me of the species, it is beautiful and grown perfect. I admite that I don't know the species well at all unless they are the unusual. Norma

unusual aloe indeed... last aloe that looked like that (at the Huntington) was a hybrid between Aloe marlothii and Aloe capitata. Flowers certainly atypical for a non-trunking aloe... looks like a pale Aloe thraskii inflorescence, but the aloe itself looks more like some Aloe ferox and marlothii species... hence, my guess at a hybrid.. striking plant!

I would also hazard a guess that it might have some Aloe capitata in the mix, but am not speaking with any authority here. The foliage wouldn't seem to indicate any Aloe thraskii influence, although the flowers do somewhat resemble a paler A. thraskii as seen here in Berkeley.
