Danmer Custom Shutters

Yesterday I went to pull the windows open and all 3 cornices (box-shaped wood covering the top of the blinds) just fell right off on my head! I googled their customer service only to discover they have vanished into thin air!

I would give no stars if I could! The absolutely worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do not work with Damner! Twice they did not show up to commuted appointments they even failed to show up to installation. You will have to chase your money and waste your time.

The level of customer service offered by this company is awful to say the least. They have problems keeping the most basic promises and are completely misinformed of the things going on within their own team. The technician that came to measure my windows was an hour late with no notice given. Once he arrived, he was extremely unprofessional, laughing, on his phone, and couldn't even perform measurements accurately. Measuring one window, and eyeballing a second and assuming "they're about the same size". Then forgetting his phone on my coffee table after he left forcing me to go back to let him in after already taking considerable time off from work in the middle of the day. Their main office is where it gets worse. Once "measured" I was promised an install appointment time within 3 days. Almost 10 days passed with no sign of any follow up. I called and tried to remind them that when I put my deposit down I did so predicated on the fact that I needed the blinds installed as soon as possible. They will say anything to make a sale so they agreed. Call after call, I either get voicemail, or their automated system hangs up on me. After leaving an angry message do I get a reply saying my installation day is well beyond what I was promised. Note, at this time, they were not only giving me an installation day that was already unacceptable, but making promises to hopefully move it up by a day, all the while they have NEVER given me an exact time of day to be home to wait for the installation personnel. They promise they will look into reducing the remaining balance I owed on the blinds after my deposit, but that was just to brush me off and it was never mentioned again. Only after I called them to tell them I wanted out of this ordeal and I was going to dispute my deposit charge with my credit card company did I get a call back from their main office. The one and only time they called me, they were intent on finishing the deal, not to make their customer happy, but to just come and install the blinds and collect their sale. We were way past that, nothing they have done up until this point has inspired any confidence that this would end well. No compensation, no way out, and no refunds because the blinds were ordered. Their attitude basically was begging me to kiss my $600 deposit goodbye just for the sweet release from the ordeal that is doing business with Danmer. Their poor excuse for service (on the rare occasions they responded) lends me to not have much confidence in their workmanship, and to go through with the gamble that is having them install blinds in my home is not a bet I want to make. Cutting my losses is a much more attractive option now compared to living with a very potential mistake I have to live with and look at in my home every day, and god forbid if I had to ever call them again because I have one of their products in my home.

Knowledgeable, friendly, accurate. Seemed to be able to zero in on what we wanted. She had a large amount of experience and was evidently capable of giving us additional information we did not receive from another company.
