Absolute Construction

Totally disappointed and furious with this company. To make a LONG story short... They came out and installed our cabinets. Left our kitchen a TOTAL MESS! It looked like someone came in and threw 5 lbs of saw dust in the air, all over our floor, new appliances, light fixture and walls and in and out of cabinets! Not to mention not putting up plastic guard on door entrance to prevent it all from going into living area. As far as the installation: that is another mess..in short..uneven gaps and too large of gaps including around the dishwasher. On one cabinet, when cabinet and drawer is open, bottom of drawer hits top of cabinet and drawer rubs against stove. Filler around refrigerator: nails not all the way in and cuts are not flush. On top of that, he did not install the heat thermal guards to prevent the laminate cabinets from heat damage. The laminate edge around front sink cabinet is all etched up. I found most of these issues as I was cleaning the mess I was left with. I called and they did send someone out. He agreed to order a touch up kit and send someone out. He said the doors had to be adjusted and I told him the handles will not line up. His response was, it won't be that noticeable, (I told him, yes it will!) Then he told the company that hired them that all the issues were acceptable and that I told the installer I would clean his mess! Outright lie! Also, they would do all adjustments after counter is installed! NOT HAPPENING! After checking the legality of this we found that if we agree to that, we are accepting the installation as is and once the countertop is done, that's it! After many attempts to get an answer as to their intentions ..NO REPLY! Again, this is all in short without going into great detail. We have given this company more than enough time to correct these issues and compensate us for the mess as promised. We have been more than patient but their failure to comply has turned us to seek legal advice which will be at their expense. We have been without a kitchen since October, so at this point..we don't care, we are not going to accept this. This is beyond BAD BUSINESS! Here are some examples of what they say is acceptable...I bet they would not accept it!

This firm was hired through Home Depot. Chuck installed our kitchen cabinets. Our ceiling line made the fit difficult. But not only did Chuck do a fantastic job, his attitude was, "OK, this will work. I'll figure something out." I have have had contractors on other projects complain about every difficulty. Chuck took everything as a pleasant task. He was a pleasure to be around.

I've used this company twice for remodeling and would use them again. They are consistently on top of the project and available to me whenever I need to speak w/them about any concerns or questions I have.
