Landscape Architect, Giovanni Rossato, at Terranuda created an outstanding design for our front yard. We elected to replace the lawn in favor of an eco-friendly landscape. Our objectives were to create a garden-like atmosphere with native, bird-friendly plants that have low water and maintenance requirements. His final design checked all the boxes and exceeded our expectations. He has extensive knowledge of native plants and offered excellent suggestions for plant selections, lighting, and hardscape. Once a contractor was selected for installation, Giovanni provided on-site project management that made it super easy for us. I highly recommend Terranuda.

Our 2-acre eastern Santa Rosa property had a variety of poorly landscaped areas that were in desperate need of reimagination and renewal. There were areas of overgrown and poorly placed plantings and others that were controlled weeds at best. Our first meeting with Giovanni of Terranuda immediately put our minds at ease. A good listener and highly talented designer, Giovanni described strategies for addressing our needs. He met with us to show options and helped us settle on the best approach. With finalized designs, lovely sketches and detailed plant lists, Giovanni received bids to help us find the right installer. During construction Giovanni personally selected critical plants from local nurseries and worked with the installer until the work was complete - this included follow up reviews to ensure the plants were thriving. My wife and I absolutely unequivocally recommend Terranuda for anyone looking for a thoughtful and talented landscape designer.

We asked Giovanni, who is the founder of Terranuda, to redesign the entire side yard of our property. We had replaced the full length of a fence, and in the process, had removed most of an old hedge and other assorted plants. We wanted to completely re-do the design and feel of this part of our property. Giovanni's design is innovative, well-suited to the slope of the yard, and nicely accents our multiple deck structures. He was quite collaborative and listened to our ideas. He also acted as the project manager for installation. He ensured high quality implementation and met our deadline and budget. His training in design and architecture with experience in multiple climates are evident. We highly recommend his work!
