The design challenge was to conceal these high walls and create layering in shallow planting bed. I used many colorful succulents and "Polite Plants" that can fill in the spaces with minimal pruning. Gravel was added to prevent dogs that visit to kill the vegetaation.

To accomplish an updated look to this 30 year old tract home the rooflines were changed to create drama and a portico was added to create importance and define the entry. Carriage lighting and the use of wrought iron gates give the mediterranean warmth the homeowners were looking for. Stamped colored concrete in a versaille pattern was used for hardscape.
