Two forest plants to ID (S.E. Michigan)

I should know the first one but I can't think what it is. Doesn't quite look like sweet cicely, though it has a slight odor of licorice (or maybe that's my imagination). All of the plants are the same height as of now and very plentiful.
The second plant is quite tall with blue flowers.
