There are similar quartzites such as nuvolato,maldive which come from brazil and look similar.

I think the most important thing you can do is test the material for acid sensitivity,hardness and porosity. It looks like a quartzite but it's important to test a piece after all it may be moving in with you.

Once you are satisfied that this stone will work well in a busy kitchen work with a good fabricator that understands the material you've selected.

Names of stones, especially Quartzites, are notoriously something that changes from place to place. If it is a true Quartzite (it looks like it is) it should be quite durable with a good 15 year sealer like DryTreat on it. But yes I would make sure you have a good fabricator who has experience cutting Quartzites, and remember all natural stone is porous somewhat by nature.
