MY go to is always a sofa and 2 cahirs and then if possible add 2 more chairs . The easy way to figure out what can work is draw the space to scale on gaph paper then find furniture you like and draw it to the same scale cut it out and test it . remenber 3 ' is the min for any walkway and once you think you have the plan then makr it off in the real space I like using boxes it works better than tape on the floor. I actully have pices of furniture done in cardboard and 3D that I use for clients to let them see it in a space . I dislike sectionals they limit layout, they provide only 2 seats that are comfy since armrests = comfort . The other items I mentioned also allow for a change in layout maybe for a Christmas tree or a large crowd etc. I have a 2 sofas and 4 chairs in my 15 x25' LR with abench that devides 2 seating areas . In a few minutes we can arrange the pieces for any groupr we have .Thought I had a pc of the other side with the 4 chairs but not I guess . I love the ability to change seating around and the corner you see is where we put out tree at Christmas with a bit of rerranging the stereo stand down the wall. We do have a FP and the bottom pic shoes one way to hanf\dle it too. We do not have aTV in the space as we have a media room. ( I hate TV in my LR)
