In case you wonder, what will you get in one concept? It is natural to have doubts in mind. So here are the six stunning elements in design that bring the best in spaces.
Stunning Design Elements
It never happens that only one thing makes everything possible. Instead, there is a contribution of every element in the design. Thus, the following are the stunning elements in the design concept:
Bathroom Vanity
● The name is Elizabeth (EL 4099), a floor-mounted vanity with elegant essence.
● The vanity has three components that contribute to the user-friendly design. It includes the main cabinet, mirror plus shelf, and basin.
● The body of the cabinet is made up of plywood. In addition to this, the frame of the cabinet comes with stainless steel material.
● Blend of black coated stainless steel, and wooden touch brings the best in the design. The ceramic basin has an intriguing factor. The combination of mirror and shelf is designed according to the user's need.
● Functions: The bathroom vanity gives enough room to store all the hygiene products, toiletries, and some medications. Enough room in the bottom cabinet to place towels, hand towels, and cleaning cloths. The vanity is being designed such that it can have multiple uses. The shelves allow us to place personal items in the order and out of sight.
Premium Sanitary ware
● Stunning wall-hung sanitary ware of modern style enhances the rhythm in the space. Simple and sophisticated style.
● Fauna wall-hung (WHF 404) is a series of premium sanitary ware with easy and clean flushing.
● The style depicts wall attached rimless design, which also comes with a soft close seat cover.
● The sanitary ware is designed such that it contributes more neat and clean attributes. In addition to this, it promotes more hygiene and clean concept.
● Benefits: less risk of bacteria, parasites, and viruses. Neat and slick design contributes the best in aesthetics and functionality.
Blend of Modern Tiles
● Tiles are just the coating material to protect from waterproofing. Instead, they also add more meaning to the spaces.
● Egyptian Beige a wooding-looking tiles which come in 2''x48'' size brings the best in the bathing area. It has been used in the open showering area.
● Besides, the actual size of the tiles is 24''x48''; however, the tiles have been cut from 24''x24'' to 2'x48'' using advanced cutting technology.
● Ruby Nero are the tiles used behind the vanity. It comes in 300 x 300 mm size, which has been crafted by cutting in modern machinery. The Ruby Nero also has one unique element: a cube pattern that makes it more appealing.
● Benefits: The tiles are anti-slippery; thus, it makes it easy to clean the surface. Low maintenance. The cube pattern offers grip application. Less danger of mishaps.
Elegant Shimmering Faucets
● The elegant shimmering faucets are being used in the washbasin, head shower, and body jet.
● A Grande Single Lever Mixer with the touch of gold is used as the faucet in the washbasin. Besides, the faucet is made up of brass, and it comes with a gold finish.
● Single lever contributes to making less physical contact while washing the hands. Less physical contact, more hygienic practice. Brass as a material offers strength, good plasticity, and it has corrosion resistance.
● The Overhead rain shower in the bathing area has been placed perfectly. It gives the feeling as if you are bathing in the rain. It comes in 10''x10'' size in gold color.
● It overhead shower also has brass as a material. Thus, it can withstand hot and cold water due to its good plasticity.
● Experts say overhead shower saves more water than the water in the bathtub. Thus, becomes very economical for the user in all aspects. Less body movement and saves your time.
Taps and Body Jet
● Each element has something to offer; just like that, there is a total of six body jets in the concept. Concealed Body Jet comes with a gold finish and anti-corrosive elements.
● The body jet has high-quality brass material. It is wall fitted concealed body jet. Besides, it offers an adjustable spray pattern that provides the best showering experience.
● The body jet functions well by offering a full-body shower, as it provides more showering radius to the user.
● Body jet allows ultra-fine droplets to release and delivers a massaging experience. It upholds the rhythm and the speed of water flow proficiently.
Thermostatic Diverter
● A thermostatic diverter (THDV-R) in gold color is also being used. It helps to control the water flow and has been made using brass. It gives the option to control the shower, body jets, and spout.
● The thermostatic diverter comes with 3-outlets with high-flow options. It allows you to enjoy the water at the desired temperature.
● Besides, the diverter has the precision quality and offers complete safety to the user. Flexibility to function and operate two outlets simultaneously.
● Grande Plain Spout with Flange(GRA-1023-B) in gold finish contributes to the showering area.
● The flange comes with brass, therefore, offering plasticity and corrosion resistance properties. Allows water to flow easily and can withstand both hot and cold water.
● Flexible to provide high-pressure water without any hindrance.
Indoor Landscape
● Gone are the days when people used to plant only in the garden space. Many modern bathrooms have an indoor landscape.
● Hence, we also added plants to maintain and enhance the look of every corner. Indoor planters near the vanity give the essence of being near nature.
● Small planter at the countertop act as a showpiece. The right showpiece always exhibits your style and individuality.
A design that speaks and a concept which stands out. Uniqueness is not achieved by just adding materials and blending modern elements. Rather it is accomplished with functionality and aesthetics altogether. Therefore RADON brings the unique concept of bathroom designs in one place.

Blue Wagon Synthetic Turf Supply (Peninsula)
EVERNATURAL CALSSIC - $2.79 / SF.
Evernatural Classic offers the most realistic, all-in-one product on the synthetic grass market today, next only to our Evernatural Premium. This product offers a 96-ounce weight and 1-3/4” height offering a variation to the Evernatural Premium for customers who want a more economical option with slightly less density and shorter blade height.
But all the benefits are still the same! The blades are designed to reduce shine, reduce heat, and act as a memory foam so blades return to their original shape after bent by foot traffic. More specifically:
Double W Blade (Lime color) is designed to diffuse light, making it look more realistic with less shine. The ability to deflect light also helps keep the turf cooler. In addition, it is great for high traffic as it can withstand high wear and pressure.
Double S Blade (Field color) is designed to replicate natural grass in both appearance and function. The Double S has an uneven surface, consisting of seven sublayers. This provides effective insulation and reflection of the sunlight.
Diamond Blade (Emerald and Brown colors) is designed to make the grass look more realistic and gives it a soft touch.
The Evernatural Classic has all these benefits, all while looking and feeling like real lawn!

Phantom Screens UK
This stunning contemporary home tucked away in the Shropshire countryside is now protected from insects thanks to their new pleated door screens from Phantom Screens. Read the full story below…
Being surrounded by the beautiful countryside is something many people dream of. The thought of rural landscapes of rolling fields, a gentle breeze in the trees and the chirping of birds certainly sounds romantic. The homeowners of this impressive Shropshire property believed that to be the case too… until they realised, they had overlooked a small but key detail of countryside living – the bugs.
Having put so much time and work into their dream home, they were distraught to discover that the countryside meant living with insects. After countless days chasing mosquitoes and spiders out of the house and trying every home remedy in the book, they decided enough was enough.
After browsing the internet for permanent solutions to stop flies getting in the house, they found the UK’s leading insect and solar screen manufacturer, Phantom Screens, and got in touch with our experts.
Our Phantom experts listened carefully to our customers’ needs and understood their agony. After sending us some photographs and rough measurements of their doors and windows, we gave the customer a quote and booked in a home survey at a date and time that was convenient for them.
Having visited our customers’ wonderful home, our team took precise measurements of their doors and windows. We also discussed fabric options with them, making sure they fully understood the benefits of each fly screen fabric.
Once a decision was made, we returned to our factory and handcrafted the screens to our customers’ exact requirements. Following the bespoke fly screens having their final quality inspection, our team headed back to our customers’ home to install them. The installation took place on a date chosen by our customers and was completed within a few hours with minimal disruption.
Three pleated double door screens were installed across the ground floor – two in the kitchen, one on another back door. Window fly screens were also installed throughout the home. The chosen fabric for all the fly screens was 18:16 black mesh – a classic look that keeps the views perfectly intact whilst providing total insect protection.
Pleated insect screens are manually operated and open by hand. They come with a 3mm floor track, which allows you to stop the screen at any point to keep the door screen partially open should you wish to. This is ideal for quickly nipping in and out to and from the garden without having to fully open and close the screen.
The frames of each tailormade fly screen were colour matched to the existing door and window frames, so that they blend in seamlessly with the design of the home. The colour match option creates a slick, integrated look, where the screens are hidden away when not in use.
An additional benefit to the screens was the solar shading element. Whilst the primary function of this fabric was to stop mosquitoes, flies, and spiders from getting inside, it does also provide a level of UV protection which can help to keep the home cooler when in use. This is particularly helpful during hot summer days, when doors and windows can be left open to remove staleness and allow cool, fresh air to circulate through the home without the risk of the bugs and harmful bacteria getting in.
The customers were so impressed with the insect screens that we recently returned to install even more! An insect-free home is now essential to their happiness, and they can’t comprehend how they lived without screens before.

The Benefits of Frameless Glass Shower Doors
Of course, the top benefit to frameless shower doors is an aesthetic one. They provide a feeling of spaciousness to a small bathroom by their transparency and lack of framework.
On frameless shower doors, the door is able to be opened in either an outward or inward direction owing to an improved hinge design. This provides the architect or designer with more options in a small bathroom regarding the critical placement of other fixtures and accessories.
The design options with frameless shower doors themselves are practically limitless as well. Frameless shower enclosures can be fashioned in any size or shape imaginable, inspiring the architect or designer and homeowner to be as creative as possible and cleaning is quick and easy.

Direct Lifts Australia
Benefits of the Residential Elevator
The benefits of having a residential home elevator are that the homeowner will have the ability to move between floors without any difficulty. They can also be used by visitors who may not want to use stairs for whatever reason, making it easier and more convenient for them. It is an ideal solution if you don’t have much space available or your house has limited levels as well!
How much does a residential house elevator cost?
The cost of installation will vary depending on how your house is set up. If you have easy access to all floors throughout, it may be cheaper than one with limited space between each level. It also depends if there’s already an existing lift in place or not! The average price for this type of equipment starts at $30k and goes up from there depending on what features are included with the final product – it can add up fast, so make sure you do some research before committing to anything!

Scottish Stained Glass
Stained Glass in a hallway or staircase is another great way to showcase your home and take advantage of all the benefits that leaded glass can bring. For example, many hallway windows will face onto a neighbor’s home which brings the issue of privacy to the forefront once again. Homeowners can sometimes feel uncomfortable early in the morning and late at night when walking up and down the stairs knowing that others may be watching them from outside the home. With the addition of stained or leaded glass, these fears are eliminated, while providing additional benefits such as natural light and high-end decor.

In this primary bathroom, the lighting scheme was key to achieve the client’s goals and create a space where the client would enjoy being. The bathroom felt cramped, dark, visually heavy. The client was also claustrophobic, making the use of the space uncomfortable.
The goal was to transform this space into a relaxed modern spa-like atmosphere, rethink and simplify the floorplan avoiding visual clutter, access natural light, add efficient lighting, and create more visual space.
The lighting plan was crucial to increase visual space. My first thought was to add a skylight to access natural light that is so effective in enlarging the feel of a space.
After looking at the attic and roof lines it became clear that this was not an option. After some research I found the perfect solution: a smart light fixture that mimics a window. It is installed between studs or ceiling joists. The fixture replicates the light of the sun during the day. It goes from soft morning light - to bright noon - to soft dawn light. By recessing the fixture into the ceiling, the skylight-look and extra height was achieved.
The benefits of this light go beyond beautiful design. The fixture is sustainable, energy efficient, and made to last for decades. It regulates the body’s circadian rhythm, helping against sleeping problems and seasonal affective disorder. It also integrates biophilic design, creating connections to nature and benefiting people that spend hours indoors.
The use of mood lighting was also key, creating a cozy, welcoming feel to this home-spa. All the lights are dimmable, and plenty of indirect light sources, like the gorgeous vanity pendants and LED mirrors, create the perfect setting. Not forgetting to mention the soft curves of the bathtub chandelier. This is the perfect place to relax in the bubbly bathtub!

Cupernham is a compelte new build house based in Romsey. The previous house on the site was demolished – the benefit to the client being that the new build is exempt from VAT – giving a little more to the project budget.
The house has 3 large bedrooms, the master suite benefitting from a large apex window, creating a cathedral like space. Our client has really focussed on the quality of this high-end development which has underfloor heating throughout run by a ground source heat pump, a double height entrance hall with a grand central stair, provision for a platform lift to ensure the lifetime usability of the building and an array of solar PV panels on the roof.
Kuche & Bagno Kitchens - Bathrooms - Interiors
A stay in a boutique hotel means relaxing in luxury, with the softest bedding, chic furniture, impeccable décor and a lavish lavatory. But why leave all that indulgence behind, when you could have a boutique-inspired bathroom all of your own back at home?
Interior designer Lisa Melvin recently completed a project that she calls the Wellness Suite. This stunning bathroom would fit in perfectly in a high-end hotel in Mayfair or Kensington, and it’s also marvellous inspiration for anyone looking to create a modern, stylish and functional bathroom.
Her vision for the decadent room was “to create a space based on design rather than products”. The result was a high-end bathroom that is luxurious, easy to keep clean and a joy to be inside. Although the Wellness Suite incorporated some of the very best products on the market, featuring modern materials and technology, Lisa notes that the results could be easily scaled to suit other budgets and spaces. “It’s a room that could, potentially, be in anybody’s property” she explains.
For example, the room includes a Neorest AC Washlet. Priced at £12,000, this top-of-the-line washlet from Japanese manufacturer TOTO boasts not only the most expensive washlet in the world, but also the only washlet on the planet that has a self-clean function. However, other models are available, hitting all price points down to £1,000, so the setting could be scaled back to meet tighter budgets.
On the other hand, additional features could be incorporated to bump up the luxury factor even more.
“A heated Sanoasa lounger from wedi – like the type you find in spas – would be a wonderful addition to a more spacious bathroom,” she says.
The Washlet is something of a centrepiece of the room. This high-tech shower toilet has a sensor-activated lid that opens and closes by itself, an automatic flush and an adjustable dryer. There’s a wand-jet system that uses warm water for personal cleansing, while a heated seat and deodoriser help to ensure a pleasant trip to the toilet every time. The Washlet even cleans itself. An integrated UV light interacts with the special zirconium coating on the bowl; this triggers a photocatalytic process that breaks down organic substances and helps to ensure the bathroom is always hygienic.
Lisa also used a sink and bath manufactured by TOTO to complement the decanted throne and create a consistent aesthetic. Another benefit to these TOTO products is that the resin used to make them is translucent, “so you can have this beautiful glow coming through it. It’s not only durable – it’s also really beautiful,” Lisa says.
Dekton is a large-format surface material that is traditionally used for kitchen worktops, and it’s ideal for bathroom surfaces as well. Since it comes in a huge range of colours and finishes, it can also match any design scheme with ease. Another benefit of Dekton is that it creates a – literally – seamless appearance. Lisa explains, “We moves away from tiles by using Dekton. This eliminated grout lines, which can be the cause of potential leaks.” Grout lines can also become soiled and discoloured over time, even with a rigorous cleaning regime in place.
“Using Dekton as wall cladding is a very slick way of applying the material beyond its traditional purpose. Aesthetically, it’s very pleasing, and it retains its good looks for the long term,” Lisa adds.
Large-format tiles were used for the flooring in the Wellness Suite but since each one measures 1200mm square, grout lines were kept to a minimum. In the few places where a joint was required, Lisa opted for an epoxy grout that’s practically invisible. Once it’s set it’s more like an acrylic – non-porous, smooth and very hard – so it easily resists dirt and grease.
Lisa loves to create hidden spaces within her designs. While the Wellness Suite might look like it has no storage at all, it actually has lots.
“In this room, we’ve created two large secret storage spaces that you wouldn’t know were there unless they were pointed out to you,” she says.
Three large mirrors stretch from floor to ceiling. They lift the room, making it look brighter and bigger – and thanks to concealed hinges, one of them swings open to reveal an enormous hidden cupboard with glass shelving and LED lights.
She has also hidden a large drawer under the bath surround, perfect for storing towels, spare loo rolls and extra bottles of shampoo. Bespoke floating cubes finished in matching smoked mirror adds both function and dimension to the room. A neat, subtly lit library niche housing your latest reading material is a winning combination when teamed with the TOTO Neorest AC Washlet’s heated seat.
Paying attention to the smallest details is essential in creating a decadent bathroom, and recent innovations have led to a seemingly endless range of choice. When it comes to taps and ironmongery, homeowners are no longer limited to chrome or brass finishes. Hansgrohe’s Axor FinishPlus range of taps and bath fillers comes in 15 different polished or brushed finishes including black, bronze, stainless steel and two shades of gold. “It’s all about the detail,” Lisa adds. “Ordinarily, taps and showers are brass with a chrome finish. But metallic like gold, bronze copper and brass are becoming more and more popular in interiors, and with the Axor range, you get a choice of what colour your taps are coated with.”
In the Wellness Suite, Lisa opted for an Axor Uno² wall-mounted tap and a Massaud bath filler in brushed nickel.
“The beauty of being able to choose from so many colours means you can really fine-tune the overall look you’re trying to create,” she says.
“The room has a moody, glamorous and luxurious feel, with the Dekton surfacing in black and dark brown, oversized mirrors and a Japanese-style theme to the window. The brushed nickel finish on the ironmongery completes the look and helps this already dramatic room make an even stronger statement.”
No matter how beautiful a bathroom is, it also needs to be comfortable – nobody likes the feeling of a cold floor on bare feet first thing in the morning. So Lisa has included an electric underfloor heating system. This is a secondary heating source, specifically to take the chill off the floor – and since it’s connected to a timer/thermostat, cold tiles are a thing of the past. The main heating is supplied by an Aeon radiator. Made of black granite, it looks more like a piece of art than a radiator. Plus, the stainless-steel towel bars ensure your towels are always warm and dry quickly – saving on laundry too.
In every interior, lighting is key, as it sets the mood and ensures the space is functional as well as good looking. The TOTO bathroom includes a combination of mood, ambient and task lighting, so users can set the scene as required – whether you want to jump out of bed and quickly get ready for work, or you want a soft glow for a lovely long soak at the end of a hard day. As mentioned before, the TOTO sink and bath are made of a translucent resin material and they incorporate LED lights that can be adjusted from a bright light to a soft glow, perfect for a relaxing bath.
“Homeowners could also consider using RGB LEDs, which can be charged to any colour, depending on the atmosphere they wish to create,” Lisa adds.
A set of glazed pocket doors slide open to reveal the shower room, which features an Axor Shower Heaven. This large overhead shower measures 1200 by 302mm and incorporates built-in lighting. It can be adjusted to provide three different spray patterns: RainAir (rain jet entrenched with air), mono and powder rain. The three options can be used individually or in combination, and can also be aimed at different spray zones.
Paradise Found Construction
The homes in Heritage Hills in Chapel Hill, NC are representative of the popularity and explosive growth of American Home Ownership that occurred during the economic expansion that followed the end of WW II. They were designed and built to foster the benefits and sense of “community”, where families could come together and share theirs and their children’s lives. They are typically in very desirable locations within their larger communities, and remodeling them with modern amenities, increasing the performance and efficiency of them, and having them Green Certified (independent third-party verified) makes them extremely attractive to buyers, and helps to raise other property values within the neighborhood.
Green Certified Remodeled Homes offer significant value and advantage in the marketplace over similar homes in their area, which is especially important as a new, younger era of home buyers enter the market. Current trends suggest that younger (as well as many “seasoned”) homeowners are interested in smaller, more efficient (and thus affordable) homes situated closer to shopping, their work, entertainment opportunities, and access to the economic and environmental benefits of mass transit.
These older homes also offer an additional value that is continuing to gain visibility and appreciation in the market place. They were built from lumber from slower-growth trees (denser and harder wood), and as such offer superior structural support compared to the same home built using lumber from today’s faster-growing (softer and less-dense wood) trees.
Robin and Kent had lived in their 2-story Gambrel Roof home in Heritage Hills since 1994. The house was structurally sound, due in large part to the old-growth (and denser) yellow pine that was used in its framing. They loved the quiet neighborhood, its sense of community and amenities, and their home. It suited their life-style and needs; and they had decided that they would remain in the home. It was showing its age, and was in need of general repairs and maintenance, and its energy, water, and indoor air quality performance was continuing to increase their ongoing cost of ownership.
Robin loved the screen porch that looked out on their private and nicely landscaped back yard, but she wanted to be able to use it in the colder months of the year. She was unsatisfied with the kitchen and the mud room / laundry room, and the darkness of other living spaces. A previous water leak in the laundry room had resulted in a large patch of mold that had compromised flooring, wall board, and insulation and contributed to the homes reduced indoor air quality.
The home lacked insulation in the crawl, and inadequate insulation in the attic. The single HVAC unit had been replaced a few years earlier with a more efficient unit, but with a single programmable thermostat control on the first floor and aging and un-insulated ducting, the second floor was often over-heated in the summer months.
The original wood windows had begun to deteriorate and were drafty and inefficient, and the original wood-burning fireplace was an open conduit for escaping conditioned air as well as an inlet for wood-smoke smelling air being pulled into the home. The siding had been replaced a few years earlier with a cement-fiber product, but the exterior wood trim was compromised and beginning to look unsightly. Its original architecture had been altered over the years in ways that presented ongoing maintenance and durability issues, as well as disrupting the elegance of the original design.
Kent has worked for over 30 years in the Environmental Sciences field, and is considered to be a national expert in understanding the sources of, and human exposure to pollutants in indoor environments. He had always been very conscious and cautious about the effects on indoor air quality that the construction, furnishings, and products used in home had on him and his family.
Project Goals
Increase the performance of their home by improving energy efficiency by at least 40% and lowering their natural gas and electric utility costs.
Increase the performance of their home by reducing water usage by at least 40% and lowering the water utility costs.
Increase the comfort of their home that was being compromised by an inadequate HVAC design, inadequate insulation, inefficient and compromised wood windows, and copious air intrusions and drafts.
Improve the healthiness of the homes indoor air quality that was being compromised by an open wood-burning fireplace, and prior water intrusion that had allowed colonies of mold to thrive.
Create a new Kitchen, Family Room, Home Office, Mudroom, and Laundry Room that featured some of the latest designs and trends and harmonized with the rest of the homes charm.
Increase the usefulness and aesthetics of the screened porch by creating a warm and inviting semi-conditioned 3-Season Room that extended the times during the year that it was comfortable.
Introduce day-lighting into areas of the home that were dark and uninviting.
Brighten and harmonize all of the interior finishes.
Protect and restore the exterior of the home with superior-performing products and finishes.

Liberty Windoors Corp.
Tilt Turn windows and doors can be combined in numerous configurations with casement, awning, and fixed windows as they utilize the same profile system. The seamless integration of windows provides a uniform appearance and customization beyond compare.
Tilt turn windows are a very unique and functional European window, applicable in endless applications. These windows are quickly gaining popularity in the United States. These windows have been manufactured for almost a hundred years, starting out in Europe in the early 1900′s. The beauty of a tilt turn window is its dual action. The window will open like a casement window and will tilt in at the top. Each window is customized to your exact specifications. Tilt turn doors are also available; the window is capable of being manufactured to fit large openings.
Glancing at the window, one cannot tell that the window has two functions. The window will swing inward when opened like a casement, with a screen on the window’s exterior. The window can then be hinged at the bottom and open inward at the top. Both actions are activated by the turn of a lever, which controls all the mechanics within the frame.
There are great benefits to these operations. Ample fresh air can pass into the room when opened like a casement. When the window is open at the top, it functions as a safety precaution. Small children cannot climb up the window and fall through it as in a traditional double hung window. The same function prevents intruders from entering a room. There is simply no way to climb up the window and fit through the small opening; but ventilation is still possible.
A tilt and turn window can be used in both residential and commercial applications. The window can be utilized in almost any room within a residential home. A home’s exterior is a great place for the windows as are sunrooms and pool enclosures. Commercial applications include restaurants, office buildings, and high rise apartments. A condominium on the thirtieth floor cannot typically be cleaned, except by a professional cleaning service; tilt turn windows open inward and allow for complete cleaning of the window units with out calling costly professionals.
Modern PVC windows are suitable for many types of buildings. Weather it's a historic building, detached private residence, office building or a multi-family house, stylish window profiles can achieve consistency of design between the building's exterior and interior walls.
PVC profile is made from UV stabilized materials protecting windows from solar expositon and discoloration. This problem is often observed with standard vinyl windows. In addition, our profiles are reinforced with galvanized steel, which makes them exceptionally durable. This feature is important for large windows, which require greater strength and stability.
High thermal insulation of PVC material combined with multi chamber profile structure ensures the highest comfort of living. In fact uPVC windows have the highest energy rating in the US outperforming all brands of wooden windows. Double or triple pane glass have the added benefit of being extremely effective in deadening sound. It makes PVC windows the best choice for buildings or homes located close to railroads or noisy roads

TASCH - GROUP
My customer is handicapped and sits in a wheelchair. Her old shower was a prefabricated molded shower including a shower pan with an over 6 inch high curb and a metal framed shower enclosure. It was very difficult for her to get in and out.
The target was to create a barrier free shower which nevertheless holds a bit of water while she can sit in it having a shower. The door opening is wider as normal and the doors open like French doors to the inside as well as to the outside. This makes it easier for her to operate the doors from her wheelchair and also to get in and out. The shower door opening is wide enough to roll in with the wheelchair so she can have a shower while sitting in her wheelchair if wished or needed.
The floor tiles inside the shower are pretty slippery, this makes it easier for her to move around with her legs. She also uses soap to make it more slippery. For the outer floor we used non-slip tiles to make sure the wheelchair stays safe when she is leaving it to have a shower.
The inner shower floor as well as the outer floor are heated by an electrical floor heating system which makes it very comfortable for her to sit on the floor.
The baseboard is made from the same tile as the floor tiles and the corners between the baseboard and the floor are sealed with 100% silicone in grout color. All tile edges are covered by Schluter Rondec profiles.
- The shower walls are built and waterproofed with the Wedi System.
- The shower floor is concrete and waterproofed with red guard.
- All corners inside the shower are waterproofed wit Mapeeband.
- All corners are caulked with 100% silicone in grout color.
- Both the inner and the outer shower floor are electric heated.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Someone was asking: - "?they caulked with 100% silicone in grout color-Is this a good option or benefit????
Here is the answer: - Every material has different characteristics. Some materials expand more and other expand less under the influence of heat, water etc.
To allow such expansions without any damage to the tile work, every joint in a corner or between two different materials has to be "free" from any rigid material like thinset or grout and has to be filled with a flexible/delectable material.
Very common is acrylic based caulk however this material is not very flexible and also water-soluble. Therefore we use 100% silicone. The benefit of silicone is : It is water resistant, high flexible and bonds very well. It is also available in many grout colors, so one applied you will not really notice that the joints are caulced.

Danmar Kitchens & Interiors
Looking at this stylish modern kitchen, it’s clear this kitchen wants to be the social centre, as well as a complimentary modern colour scheme. Firstly, looking at the colour scheme, the units are a high gloss alpine white with a black granite worktop and chrome edges. The alpine white is an excellent choice as this has clean bold aesthetic to it with defining edge from the choice of chrome, which benefits the style of modern. Then to add contrast to the design the island uses a dark walnut for the base this creates a strong natural contrast which only compliments it further, then texture has been added through the addition of a finished small stave walnut worktop. The choice of having handleless doors not only looks aesthetically pleasing but it is also maintaining the theme of modern. The choice of appliances that are used benefits the modern theme, integration of the ovens, microwaves, coffee machine and plate warmers also mean that it is ease of access for the user as they’re all connected as well as creating space on the worktops for prepping because there aren’t any appliances in the way.

This design draws on Moroccan influences and creates a well laid out space that is fresh and inviting. Flooring in the space consists of multi-coloured African slate laid in a stretcher pattern, interspersed with the occasional Moroccan floor tile. Under the kitchen window is a butcher block housing a Belfast sink allowing the client the opportunity for outside water. Directly outside the back door, flanked either side by flush planting beds, there is a railway sleeper sofa-style seat with bespoke waterproof cushions.
This area is enclosed with a purpose-built timber pergola with a rusted iron mesh ‘roof’. The main seating area of the garden consists of rendered block raised beds, painted white and adorned with a Moroccan tile border around the top, upon which L-shaped ‘suspended’ railway sleeper benches are fixed. This area also benefits from a railway sleeper table, a large, ornate Moroccan-style water fountain water feature against the right hand wall and a wrought iron chiminea in the back bed to serve as barbeque and heater. The existing large laurel was retained and the existing ivy was thinned and conditioned. The inclusion of a large tree fern at the entrance to the seating area makes a formal entrance to the space.
The remainder of the planting consists of oranges and greens with a selection of climbers, evergreens and herbaceous perennials selected to give year round interest. The space is completed by the inclusion of a comprehensive lighting scheme. The pergola is illuminated with a fairy light net over the top.
The main seating area benefits from stylish teak and stainless steel bollard lights installed on top of the raised bed walls and rope lights running along the underside of the seats, with a double weatherproof socket providing power for the client to plug in electrical equipment if required. Finally, a series of low voltage lights throughout the planting beds give the garden a subtle overall glow while serving to highlight individual plant specimens.

Thyme & Place Design LLC
This medium sized bathroom had ample space to create a luxurious bathroom for this young professional couple with 3 young children. My clients really wanted a place to unplug and relax where they could retreat and recharge.
New cabinets were a must with customized interiors to reduce cluttered counter tops and make morning routines easier and more organized. We selected Hale Navy for the painted finish with an upscale recessed panel door. Honey bronze hardware is a nice contrast to the navy paint instead of an expected brushed silver. For storage, a grooming center to organize hair dryer, curling iron and brushes keeps everything in place for morning routines. On the opposite, a pull-out organizer outfitted with trays for smaller personal items keeps everything at the fingertips. I included a pull-out hamper to keep laundry and towels off the floor. Another design detail I like to include is drawers in the sink cabinets. It is much better to have drawers notched for the plumbing when organizing bathroom products instead of filling up a large base cabinet.
The room already had beautiful windows and was bathed in naturel light from an existing skylight. I enhanced the natural lighting with some recessed can lights, a light in the shower as well as sconces around the mirrored medicine cabinets. The best thing about the medicine cabinets is not only the additional storage but when both doors are opened you can see the back of your head. The inside of the cabinet doors are mirrored. Honey Bronze sconces are perfect lighting at the vanity for makeup and shaving.
A larger shower for my very tall client with a built-in bench was a priority for this bathroom. I recommend stream showers whenever designing a bathroom and my client loved the idea of that feature as a surprise for his wife. Steam adds to the wellness and health aspect of any good bathroom design. We were able to access a small closet space just behind the shower a perfect spot for the steam unit. In addition to the steam, a handheld shower is another “standard” item in our shower designs. I like to locate these near a bench so you can sit while you target sore shoulder and back muscles. Another benefit is cleanability of the shower walls and being able to take a quick shower without getting your hair wet. The slide bar is just the thing to accommodate different heights.
For Mrs. a tub for soaking and relaxing were the main ingredients required for this remodel. Here I specified a Bain Ultra freestanding tub complete with air massage, chromatherapy and a heated back rest. The tub filer is floor mounted and adds another element of elegance to the bath. I located the tub in a bay window so the bather can enjoy the beautiful view out of the window. It is also a great way to relax after a round of golf. Either way, both of my clients can enjoy the benefits of this tub.
The tiles selected for the shower and the lower walls of the bathroom are a slightly oversized subway tile in a clean and bright white. The floors are a 12x24 porcelain marble. The shower floor features a flat cut marble pebble tile. Behind the vanity the wall is tiled with Zellage tile in a herringbone pattern. The colors of the tile connect all the colors used in the bath.
The final touches of elegance and luxury to complete our design, the soft lilac paint on the walls, the mix of metal materials on the faucets, cabinet hardware, lighting and yes, an oversized heated towel warmer complete with robe hooks.
This truly is a space for rejuvenation and wellness.

Green Home Systems
Green Home Systems provides reliable solar power solutions to residential and commercial customers all over the country. Recently, we had the opportunity to work with Bruce D. in Jacksonville, IL to provide a 19kW solar system for his home. We were able to complete this job quickly and efficiently, delivering a high quality product at an affordable price.
At Green Home Systems, our mission is to provide our customers with the best customer service in the industry as well as unparalleled solar solutions at the most economical price. We understand that not everyone can afford large upfront costs associated with installing solar systems and we are proud to offer competitive financing options that make it easier for our customers to go solar without breaking the bank. This was certainly true for Bruce D., who took advantage of our financing options and was able to have his new solar system installed within a couple of weeks time.
Our team worked hard to ensure everything went smoothly when installing Bruce’s new system. We began by inspecting his roof to determine if it was suitable for installation and if there were any potential problems that needed addressing before beginning work. Once we determined everything was in order we then moved on to designing and installing the system itself. Our team of experienced professionals worked diligently to ensure each component was installed properly and securely so that it would be able to withstand years of exposure to the elements without issue.
We also made sure that Bruce was aware of all the financial benefits associated with having a photovoltaic system installed on his home. He was now able to take advantage of numerous tax credits available in Illinois as well as decreased utility bills due to reduced consumption from his local electricity provider. Additionally, he will be able to increase the value of his home by having a solar power system installed which will make it more attractive should he decide he wants to sell it down the line.
In conclusion, we are proud of our work with Bruce D. in Jacksonville, IL and were happy to provide him with an efficient and cost-effective way to add renewable energy sources into his home’s power grid. Our team worked diligently throughout every stage of this project from design through installation until completion and we are thrilled with the results. We look forward to continuing our work throughout Illinois providing reliable solar solutions at competitive prices so that more people can benefit from this clean source of energy!
Phantom Screens UK
A luxury home on an exclusive waterside development is benefitting from a series of automated and manual insect screens.
All of the screens on this large lakeside property were fitted externally to provide full insect control –completely preventing waterborne insects from entering the house.
The whole brief runs to one 10m power screen to the lake and deck-side of the property, 10 other power screens on various openings and nine Serene windows screens to tilt and turn windows.
Eight of the power screens were fitted externally with full colour-matched powder-coated head boxes. The remaining three power screens were hidden in timber-clad pockets, including the main 10m screen.
We worked closely with the Lakeside developers’ technical design team to design and fit the three power screens in specially made timber pockets. This installation gives a very sleek finish and means the screens disappear completely when not in use.
The fine insect mesh does not impede views – particularly important for waterside living.
