“Sofa Interiors facilities and resources are extensive. They deliver quality workmanship and service whether it's recovering a set of dining chairs or an extensive project for a corporate client like nearby Disney. I am an extremely difficult, fastidious customer, a retired art director. I know my design and know what I want. For a baby's nursery, I wanted the best possible, detailed work for the lowest price. Scott, the owner of Sofa Interiors, showed patience and knowledge of his craft as he answered all my questions, using the upholstery material I brought to him. He took a family heirloom 1910 bedroom chair, repaired the springs, retied them. He convinced me that I did need a foam back and seat, even though I was afraid that he wouldn't cut the foam to resemble the fit of old time "stuffing". He was careful to keep the old studs intact, replace some missing hardware and to refinish the wood exactly to the color I described. Although I didn't have a color swatch for the paint, he provided a white with slight blue tint that I wanted. He re-finished a 1950's dresser in the same paint, repairing the drawers. He brought in both pieces completed under a ten day deadline. The pieces are beautiful, unusual and the focal point of a modern nursery. I am deeply indebted to Scot for being an artist, as well as an artisan.”

The mirror below is one of a number of pieces I’ve purchased from Al Khayat Inc., custom made to my taste. I have never had such excellent service and commitment to a perfect piece of art made by hand in Damascus. Mohamad Al Khayat, proprietor of Al Khayat Inc, is directly involved with the production of each piece to make sure each product is made to the perfection of his customer’s taste. He even sent me a video of the artisans at work making my gorgeous mirror. When the mirror was complete he delivered it and mounted it for me himself. I plan on ordering more beautiful pieces such as the bench you see in his photo gallery. You won’t see such beautiful pieces any where else. Don’t miss an opportunity to order your own beautiful piece hand made in the oldest inhabited city in the world, Damascus, Syria.”
