Trained as a fashion designer in New York City, founder and principal Robert Knighton developed a passion for interior design through his love of art and his passion for luxury spaces. His understanding of scale, color, and design guides him in the creation of harmonious, clean, and warm residential environments that are both beautiful and highly functional.
Robert Knighton is the Founder and Principal Designer of Robert Knighton Designs, a full-service design firm specializing in residential Townhouse interior design, renovation and new construction, based in New York. His chic, yet modern design aesthetic, has made him one of the country's most sought after rising design professionals. Born and raised in Connecticut, Robert’s style is often described as having a timeless twist with a chic luxurious feel. His eye for color blends both traditional luxury with a modern contemporary edge, resulting in spaces that are bespoke, luxurious and livable. Robert’s projects range from large scale townhouses to one-bedroom apartments of NYC. After attending FIT, Robert began his career in Fashion for some of the most recognizable brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, Gap, Coach, Calvin Klein, and Limited Brands. He continued his career in the Fashion industry for a number of years before co-founding and launching his high-end Concierge firm formerly known as Elite Custom Concierge New York now ViVODOMi .
