Canterbury Tile and Home is an international importer of encaustic tiles, furniture and home accessories - with offices in Saigon, Vietnam, Los Angeles + NY and representatives in Australia and London. Our cement tile factory is the most modern in Vietnam -possibly the world. Handmade by using a hydraulic press, only the best aggregate and pigments are used. We carry hundreds of designs but also specialize in custom tiles. Encaustic tiles are a green product, non-fired, and made up of natural pigment and cement. They were first produced in France in the middle of the 19th century. Known for their deep, rich colors, intricate designs and durability, they spread to Spain, England and elsewhere in Europe - where they are still seen today in many chateaux, grand homes and public buildings. A hundred years ago the French moved production of the tiles to Morocco and Vietnam and until today, these two countries still produce the best cement tiles in the world.
