Comments like this make me feel really bad for contractors. I can’t imagine the complaints they are constantly dealing with.

The only thing the fabricator did wrong was a failure to set proper customer expectations. This ain't Corian.

Thanks for everyone’s comments. I reached out to this experienced community to double check before I even considered speaking with the installers. I really appreciate you all taking the time to weigh in, even the snarky ones:) Our stone people are amazing and our contractor and his crew are fantastic but it never hurts to put a second set of eyes on something- specifically so you don’t go back to your crew with unrealistic demands. And now I won’t. Much appreciated.

O M G !!! Your fabricator is a Rock Star of the First Magnitude. That seam is superb.

Most kitchens seem to have one counter which is longer than a stone slab, so we all have a seam somewhere. Yours is very well done. After a week, you won’t even see it anymore.

Put your coffee maker or another countertop necessity there.

Just had it installed and was upset they didn’t do one piece at sink - template had one 101” x 39” piece with sink cut out but then install crew said they couldn’t do in shop and sent two small pieces, this seam at sink. I have other seam on long side - wondering what you all think? Can anything be done or will I forget about it in time? Right now I’m just sick about it and very disappointed.
