Help- How to finish floors with rough stone walls

Hello, we're finishing our sunroom and are not sure how to finish the flooring. We have 3 walls with a very rough round stone and overgrout. With such uneven surfaces, we're not sure how to finish where the flooring butts up against the stone walls. Do we grout to fill the gaps? My husband will be installing, and he's good, but not skilled enough to perfectly line up with the varying edges. It is still to be determined if we do a wood look or tile look, and what material to use- any tips are appreciated!! Thanks in advance.

We used porcelain tile. I believe the mason came back and filled the small gap.

Pictures of the area in question would help. Remember vinyl does not like a lot of direct sun as it moves a ton.

There are tons of pictures, but not many close up on the crack. :) I suspect that this is a "solved problem," as many fireplaces and hearths have rough stone creating the same issue. I would guess some combination of grout, caulk, and/or quarter-round, depending on the exact way that the surfaces meet. I'd consult with a mason. For sure, a tile floor makes the options simpler.

We did a scribed trim all around our rock FP a bit of a pain but it worked for us I do agree vinyl might not be the best choice in a sun room .

my guess is a lot of the time the rough stone goes down afterwards to meet straight-line flooring rather than the flooring trying to meet the stone
