Here is an inexpensive way to theme a child’s room for a train lover! Create a train crossing sign from scrap wood and stencils. Wood doors were added as headboards, storage lockers and walls painted with grey and white stripes. What little boy wouldn’t love to play in this bedroom!

Glitz and glam is the theme for this pink, black, and white, themed tween girls bedroom. This is perfect for the girl that loves fashion. The closet was actually turned into a department store window with an actual mannequin. Large Floor mirror next to bed to check out her latest wardrobe creation.

We needed to make the most of this small bedroom so used this loft style bed with desk/storage below from PB Teen. He loves baseball, so we used the PB Teen baseball chair and fatheads as the wall art.

The goal was a fun and colorful space for the kids to play, but dad did have one requirement of a comfortable place for him to sit while hanging out with the boys and these 2 orange chairs do the trick perfectly! Photo credit to ModTown Realty

For an 11-year-old moving across the country and starting middle school, a great new room can mean a haven and hideout. She said she dug green, and we went with that and arrived here: a funky mix of old and new, lots of space for books, and a cozy place to read. She loves it, and we designed it to grow up with her.

This family was referred to me by another of my clients. They requested that I help them with their 2 daughter’s loft area. At the time, it was uninviting, didn’t get much use and there was unused space in the existing layout, which wasn’t conducive to gathering. They gave me a great canvas to start with: wood floors, dark moldings and clean white walls. I had a couple of things I had to incorporate into the design plan which were: a wall mounted TV with speakers and an elliptical machine. I came up with a floor plan that tied all the areas of the loft together and made the space more inviting. New furniture was purchased and I layered in decor and accessories that now make it feel like a youthful, but not too young, cool hang out space.
