I called Karl after my kitchen and cabinets in my townhouse suffered water damage from a leaking ice maker line in my neighbor's property. He was super helpful and knowledgeable. I would not even think of recommending anyone else for cabinets or kitchen and bath projects in general.

Karl was completely professional from beginning to end. His cabinets are beautiful, he was able to make my dream kitchen a reality!

We called Karl - as well as a few other cabinet shops and contractors - about building some bathroom assemblies for our Lake House. He had the lowest price and did an excellent job of guiding us through the design and selection process. He was super professional and made sure to work on installing the pieces while we weren’t there. The end result exceeded our expectations. I wouldn’t think of calling or recommending another cabinet maker again.

The cabinets Karl Shikles provided us were of the utmost quality. We were very happy with his expertise, timeliness, and the suggestions he made to make our new kitchen the best it could be. Additionally, he was respectful of our time as well as our need to have a reasonably functioning kitchen throughout the renovation process. The longest we went without the most basic function of the kitchen was two days when the sink wasn't hooked up. As this was our first major renovation, Karl patiently guided us through the various processes related to countertops and backsplashes as well as timing of electrical work and flooring. He went above and beyond the call of duty when he assisted with the ceiling as well. In conclusion, you couldn’t ask for a better cabinetmaker to work with. We hope to utilize his services in the future should we decide to do more renovations.

I hired Shikles Cabinets to give my kitchen cabinetry a bit of a facelift before we put our house on the market. Our cabinets were painted a dingy white, had old hardware and opened oddly. Within a few days, Shikles Cabinets had sanded the casing, painted the doors and drawers, reimagined the door configuration and installed soft-close hardware. He was professional and respectful of the fact that we were on a budget and in a time crunch. Our 60-year-old house sold within a few weeks thanks to our kitchen's fresh new look!

Karl is an "old school" craftsman. He is concurrently professional, friendly, and does superb work. I cannot imagine anyone having a better experience or getting a better product from another cabinetmaker. Because I spent many years as a general contractor I have worked with dozens of cabinetmakers. Karl is simply the best of them all.

The thing that I was most impressed with was the design work that the owner did for our project. His vision was incredible, and his ability to take our ideas and preferences and turn them into a beautiful and functional design was so much more than I expected. This guy is so much more than a cabinet maker/installer. The finished product is absolutely beautiful, and we love having parties and showing it off. As far the nitty gritty- the project went smoothly, you hear horror stories but this was not one of them. Karl finished on time, and within the budget that we had discussed, and was respectful and tidy in our home during the construction and install process. I would recommend this contractor to anyone.

Beautiful work, and very easy to convey ideas to. Outstanding craftsmanship, and some very impressive uses of what I thought would be wasted space. Custom cabinets are never going to be cheap, but like anything, you really do get what you pay for. I would highly recommend Shikles Cabinets to anyone.
